The very moment you mentioned &#039;branded as charlatan&#039;, the name of Liszt sprang into my mind (yeah, lame stereotype it is, I know :), but now I&#039;m not that sure - and honestly, I cannot tell for sure who is the composer, judging by such a short excerpt. 

And Liszt is well-known enough and is not &#039;forgotten&#039;; so in fact this is just a near shot; I am almost 100% sure it&#039;s not the name you are looking for.</description>
