Dear friends, dear music lovers,<\/p>\n

\"Steibelt<\/a><\/p>\n

I would like to present my CD, dedicated to Daniel Steibelt (1765-1823). <\/p>\n

Why did I choose this composer? For me he is the most misunderstood and underrated composer in the last 200 years. Described as a charlatan or even popinjay, his music has been branded being mediocre. Interestingly enough this process began only in the middle of the 19th century and by those who have never heard his interpretation nor played his music. Still today, many musicologists and musicians have a very low opinion of him.<\/p>\n

Yet Daniel Steibelt is not only one of the first traveling piano virtuosos, but probably one of the first early romantic composers. <\/p>\n

Fortunately, there are already different recordings of his works and I am certain that his music sooner or later will be played by many pianists and enjoyed by larger public. <\/p>\n
